We Arrive in Colorado 2015

We flew into Denver International Airport, collected our luggage and got on the bus to the rental car place.  Grandma and Grandpa met us over there.  They are down to one car, but between theirs and our rental, we fit all the kids and luggage in.  On the way to Colorado Springs, we found one of the 4 Cafe Rio's and stopped for a long awaited meal.  The first of MANY.  It is very possible we visited all the different Cafe  Rio's, more than once, during the next month and a half.  No pictures were taken, we were too busy basking in the glow of pork barbacoa, house dressing and gourmet fountain drinks with tiny ice balls.

When we did arrive at their house, we quickly unloaded the cars and the kids instantly made themselves at home.  You couldn't tell it had been two years.  Jess took the first bunny picture within minutes.
Now I'm going to do a photo dump with occasional comments.

Another from Jess to prove to her friend how much Americans love peanut butter.

Taken while on a quest for new shoes for Matt.  While we were at it, we girls found lots of cute flip flops.  It's what we live in. Incidentally, I wore my Seahawks shirt a few times and it started some interesting conversations with the locals.  All friendly banter.

I rode up the lift with Jessica for the Alpine Slide

Jess, Alie, Makenna.  We left soon after this because we all got swollen, itchy eyes from something blooming on the hill.

At this little old timer electronics store.  This is the thrift store section.  We went back a couple times for Isaac's project, but I don't think they will be there in 2017.

and Khol's.  Still looking for shoes.  Actually, I think this is where he found success.

The Air Force Academy Band gave an awesome concert at the library.

Jess checking out where her camp will be held.

Grandpa bravely agreed to be a guinea pig for Isaac's project.

Matt and I did lots of driving.  The back seat did lots of resting.

This is the bow that prompted lots of bow building when more cousins came.

Catch a bunny.  They chased it into the drain, then trapped it in a crate.  Jess loved it for a few hours, then let it go.

Hi Betty.

A better Betty picture.

RAIN!!

Summer Sweet!

We finally went to the Denver Mint, but we couldn't take pictures, because you can't carry ANYTHING in except car keys.  Grandma and Grandpa arranged it with much difficulty, but perseverance.  We 7 were joined by Stephanie and Nikki and kids and Katrina and kids.  So it was largely a Dubai scout group.
