We drove to Ramstein for Matt to be read into his new assignment/program and to mail our extra stuff to ourselves in Sicily After kind old friends helped us mail, we stopped by a few old haunts.
This is the tree in front of the k-town chapel where these very kids posed for a picture 6 years before. Can you tell the weather was abnormally sunny? They are still cute, but (sigh) getting grown up.

A quick walk around our old yet still familiar Füssgängerzone in Kaiserslautern.
This is in a park in Bäd Dürkheim. I loved these massive trees. Jess loved running around in the grass.
Makenna had to pose by the horse statue that I'm sure is very old and important.
Matt took a picture of me here on my birthday when I turned 27. The flowers were more impressive in June. That was the first time we left the kids overnight.
We all went to The Barrel for dinner. Matt has been longing for this meal for 4 years! It was delicious and huge. We couldn't quite finish all the food, but we all left stuffed.
My parents' old house looks in sad disrepair since they left it in 2004. The house in Ramstein was newer and a better size for their smaller family, but what a pain to move, especially when the new owners let it go to seed.
