The girls wanted Matt and I to have a date night at home. They wanted to pick a menu and be in charge. They went through Makenna's cookbook and decided on a beef stir-fry for the main course and a chocolate mousse for dessert. They made a shopping list and took me to the store. They needed me to drive and pay, but it was obvious who was in charge.
Jess is kindly covering Makenna's ears. That mixer is loud and it gets hot too. I guess you get what you pay for at Dragon Mart.
They made dessert first because it had to sit for a few hours. Matt took Isaac to MMA and to pass time until dinner prep, we went to the pool. Due to some rough play, Jess had managed to go through 3 floaties in the last month. One burst with a terrific BANG when she was trying to do a flip and land in it. The kids have been doing this for days. They nail in 1 in 10 times. It happened to be Jessica's turn. She was landing it perfectly, until it popped. We had a new yellow floatie to try and more excitingly, a green board.
After dinner the kids spent some time in the playroom. I was called up to see the tower and document its destruction.

After an hour or so, the girls went in to shower, while I started to water the backyard. Then it was time to make dinner. The girls did 90% of the work and loved it.
