After meaning to, but missing a friend birthday party last year, I was determined not to skip it this year. She does have a special birthday, even though she is still a normal kid ;-), we don't want to let it get overlooked in the holiday rush. We kept it simple, but with plenty of Jessica touches. She picked the activity--the rock climbing wall and sky trail at Mirdif--then we invited her friends. We had to pick a Saturday since a few go to school. I hate dealing with weekend crowds, but it turned out just fine. Everyone could make it except Adam, due to a baseball game, but his sister Sarah was there. Maybe it was just as well, since he would have been the only boy.

Aleaha came home with us after gymnastics, but we forgot that she wold need climbing clothes, no big deal, and shoes! She ended up wearing Jessica's running shoes and Jess wore my toe shoes. Oh, she's getting too big!

After the climbing wall, they took off on the Sky Trail. Jessica's one birthday request was to go first. She took a running leap on the zip line part.

Makenna took a few at the end as the girls were getting picked up. They all had fun! She sent each friend off with a personalized gift bag full of treats, balloons and a special band bracelet.
