Conference Weekend

Thanks to soccer and football, we couldn't watch any Saturday sessions, but Sunday was so nice.  I made homemade cinnamon rolls--love the recipe we found last year--but I slept in first.  So the rolls were ready right when the first session started at 9 (we are pacific time).  The girls set up something I thought was cute.  They got the hymn book and set it up on a rolling chair in front of the TV and helped lead every song.

Brian and Hilary came over for the afternoon session after their company left.  We had Barbecue Pork Sandwiches, salad and strawberries.  Later there was Banana Cream pie, made by the girls or Cookies and Cream Ice Cream Pie.  The kids were happy to have a few more hands to help play with the parachute between courses. We tried to keep four balls bouncing around, but mostly they bounced out.   It was a pleasant day at home.  We did finally leave the house and went on our Sunday walk when the sun started going down.  It was just slightly chilly with a light breeze and no sun.  I think the bugs have noticed the temperature change.  We didn't see very many.
