Wednesday we went to the Souqs (the old section with loads of tiny shops) in the morning. I don't really have any pictures of that, but I'll copy Hilary's info when they have their blog up. We had to be home by 4 at the latest to be picked up for our desert safari. There should be a rough riding video uploaded soon to show part of the ride through the dunes. In the meantime, here are some great desert shots. It was windy, as usual. These pictures are from the couple of stops made along the way to capture the moment as well as let the engines cool down.
We eventually got to the camp site. The kids (often including the 26 year old variety) held a falcon, rode a camel, sand boarded, tried on Arabic clothes, watched a belly dance then a more impressive twirling guy, and had an huge traditional dinner. Matt was a kind trooper and held our table, which was in high demand, while we went around and tried the different activities.
It was getting dark and some of these are out of focus. The kids loved the sand boarding and went back again in the dark. They each tried the slope many times.

Makenna got some henna on her foot the day before at the water park.
