Isaac and about twenty other boys spent three hours working on this fun badge. It was a nice break to pass one off without hours of paperwork attached. They built models and then a full scale bridge requiring lots of lashing.
The deadline for turning in blue cards for this court of honor just passed. Isaac stayed up till the wee hours a few days in a row two weeks ago finishing up Citizenship in the Nation, American Business, Computers, and Archery. The Citizenship one has a VERY demanding counselor took Isaac's very thorough workbook and proceeded with an email including about twenty follow-up questions--many of them trick questions, like where in the constitution does it mention God, slavery, judicial review? The answer? No where. He qualified for the Archery badge months ago but just had to make an arrow and now string. Ask Isaac how much he likes winding thread. Tedious and time consuming, but he had the satisfaction of the scout master telling him its the best one he has ever seen. So with those plus woodcarving he will be getting 6 at the court if honor. Not bad.
