Jessica was the first to start the week of Summer Camps. She was being joined by her friend Aleaha on Saturday night--literally hours after Emily's crew left. Jess and I drove to the little Colorado Springs airport and picked her up. We stopped by a grocery store on the way home to get supplies for their lunches and then welcomed Aleaha to Grandma and Grandpa's house.

I watched from the upstairs viewing area for a while each day. Good pictures are impossible though. The windows are not sparkling clean. The gym is not much to look at--there is a TON of equipment crammed together, but they have some AMAZING gymnasts. There were many older teens in level8 and above!
At the end of day two. You can tell by their hair. 7 hours of serious work each day. They loved it, but they were worn out!

They won a roll the dice and skate to a corner game and got free cotton candy. Interesting treat that neither finished.
Grandma and Grandpa were on the cooking high feeding 20 people. Now they only had me and two gymnasts. As a result, there were great feasts at breakfast and dinner each day.
Including these little wonders--chocolate croissants you bake fresh at home from Trader Joes.
Day 3
Errands with Grandma--buying oatmeal in bulk.
Movie night--Jess didn't make it through. Zonked.
Last day.
They get to add a sticker for each new skill/trick they learn.
There is chalk EVERYWHERE.

Their favorite coach was named Tarek. He was amazed that the girls were visiting from Duabi and their brothers had a friend with that name.

Amy's Donuts--a crazy treat for a FULL week. Yes, we tried the maple bacon donuts. But not the jalapeños.
Aleaha was supposed to leave early the next morning to fly back to Houston. But because of a little airport screw up, she didn't make the flight. It really messed up her mom's schedule, but the girls enjoyed having a free day together. We went on a hike, to a park, drove around Garden of the Gods and grabbed a Costco lunch before sending her off on the next afternoon flight. Aleaha had to borrow some clothes because her suitcase DID make it on the flight. Good thing Jess had two pairs of running shoes.

Good-bye Aleaha. Little did we know at the time, but she would not be coming back to Dubai. They moved to Montana at the end of the summer. Jess misses her greatly.
