This is another older picture, but since I'm catching up, I'm doing a thorough job of it. This was Makenna's last science unit of 1st grade. We had her body outline hanging on the pantry door all summer. It made for interesting dinner conversation to be reminded of the pathway our food is about to take. It started with digestion, but as the days went by she added bones, heart, lungs, muscles, a brain and blood vessels. She loved building her body insides.
Jessica sat in on all these lessons and loved learning about bones and blood. She surprised me one day with this picture of a lion. You can see his heart, lungs and several important bones. I love it!
