Sleeping Goggles

Jess has been studying the 5 senses for science. Last week she was doing experiments on sight and smell, so I pulled out the good old airline eye masks from one of Matt's international flights of days past. They make the best blindfolds. They worked perfect for science, but Jess couldn't part with them after the lesson. In fact she has been wearing them everyday, up on her forehead. "They make it dark AND they keep the hair out of my face." She calls them her "sleeping goggles".

She is loving kindergarten and had fun at her first field trip. We went to the planetarium at the College of Southern Nevada--which I didn't know existed before last week. The kids saw a cute introduction to our solar system and how to find some basic summer constellations. We need to get out Isaac's telescope again now that it's cooling off in the evenings.
