Fun in Grandma's Backyard August

I am still playing catch up from the summer.

The kids had many adventures in grandma's backyard.  They loved romping in the woods.  Isaac even set up a dead fall trap with Kim's help--following the directions from his scout book.  They also discovered a fun rock slide/scramble.  They tried to catch dozens of rabbits, but only succeeded once.  They did capture many "Kirbys".  It wasn't too hard.  They would eat out of the kids' hands and hold still for petting.

The ground squirrel or "Kirby".

They girls especially loved helping in the garden.  They would check on the progress of tomatoes.  They helped harvest and eat potatoes.  They picked fresh lettuce and onions.

Jessica's hair in long!  We thought it was Makenna at first, but Makenna is in the background.

One fun project was helping make stepping stones.  Grandma and David mixed the cement and the kids helped add decorations.  They are beautiful and unique.  They used shells, broken pottery, and plant life.
