It's Cooling Down

Christmas is in the air, in it's way.  Carrefour has a big Christmas section (pictured below) and many stores have decorated trees in their display windows.  We bought yet another fake tree (our 4th in 8 years) and hope to get more use out of it than the one we had in Sicily.  All the pictures I'm including were taken with my phone--just spur of the moment shots.

That's Santa on his water craft being accompanied by dolphins and working on his tan.

Taken on the way to church on Al Khail Road.  The girls are very good at spotting camels along the way, but we don't have any pictures of them today.  The Burj Khalifa was holding still though and the air was quite clear.

Swim team was canceled due to 3 weeks of visitors for our instructor.  Instead of going to the pool on our own, the girls voted to go on a bike ride instead.  They haven't been able to use their bikes much since they came in the shipment because it was so hot for so long.  Now the weather is just gorgeous.  I took the girls to their friends' house and back home, so they can learn the route.  Then we went around a loop of "the Palmeras".  We live in Palmera 1.  There are 3 others with a path that runs along the back side.  It's about a 3 mile loop.  They LOVE riding.  Next week we are planning to do the inside loop of Arabian Ranches--our community. The inside loop is 6 miles.  I love their bike clothes for December.  Makenna wanted to wear her bike shirt so she could keep a water bottle in the back pocket.  #1 Jess leaving our house.  #2 Makenna is ready to go.  #3 Trying to take a shot one handed while keeping up with the girls.
