Makenna doing math during 2nd hour of gymnastics. That's her favorite bench. She is deciding what to do post summer--increase gymnastics or try dance again. Isaac has encouraged her to think about swim team, but she's not interested yet.
Matt and I spent an afternoon at Dragonmart looking for shelves. Now that we will be here for another year for sure, it's worth it to spend $100 and improve our storage room. Too bad we don't get the mannequin head too!
We made a habit of Friday evenings at the beach with a few family friends. Jess needed to reapply sunscreen. She felt warm at gymnastics the next day.
This sign hangs in the locker/bathrooms at the girls' new gym. I would think this is the one place nudity IS okay--when changing clothes....
Best spelling receipt ever. Yes, my lintle suop was very good.
Her signature pose.
Jess's invention to add more roasted marshmallows to our lives.
The skirt is finished! 30 hours of class. This experience taught her patience as well. When you are the advanced student, you have to wait a lot for the teacher to help those struggling.
Very hidden zipper. She knows tricks now that I haven't tried.
Perfectly tailored, just for her.
9 (NINE) grocery stores I went to looking for instant banana pudding. Never found any. This was the best offer at one. We were trying to fill Matt's craving for banana poke cake. We tried it with cooked pudding and it turned out well. There was a fair amount of sugar free chocolate and lots of instant lemon.... Pudding is another thing that seems to come and go, I guess. Next time I do see it, I'm stocking up.
The little ones' crab races. Jessica, Sarah, Adam and Aleaha love to find crab, sea stars, hermit crabs and sometimes little fish and create habitats in buckets for a couple hours each week. Sometimes they would smash the shell of a little mussels and watch the crabs fight over the food inside.
This crab was one of Jesses crabs. Adam did not like to touch, hold, or be involved with the crab touching, though he liked to to look at them. Jessica's crabs were two specials: Big Crab, and Red spot (shown above). Aleaha's were two plain crabs with no marks and a special, Green Eye. Sarah's were two plains and a special as well, Black Heart.
The crabs were more interested in running everywhere or running off the track though they still had fun.
The big boys played frisby with Kenna.
Our 'Maids Room' (storage room) is now organized with shelves that we bought at Ace Hardware. They had a better deal than Dragonmart!
Jessica organized the top shelf of the fridge. Dad brings home apple juice and there was no more space so it had to be arranged. On the fridge you can see the calendar that is getting ever closer to June 5th (gymnastics competition)! And June 16 (fly away)!
