EMP It took awhile, but we finally figured out it stands for Experience Music Experience. There is a massive open space in the middle with the largest screen I have ever seen on one wall that shows music videos, but the rest of the museum was "other". And it was pretty cool. I am not going to explain much, but rather put in a load of pictures. For those who want info, let me know, but this will help us keep the memories fresh.
We eventually left the Star Wars area and went to Sci-Fi next.
We spent quite awhile in this exhibit. Part may or may not have involved taking naps on bean bags watching cartoons. It was all Chuck Jones. We weren't allowed to take any pictures, except here. There were probably a hundred sketches and backgrounds and color proofs.... Pretty amazing. One thing I learned was that Mr. Jones came out of retirement to make a new cartoon for the beginning of Mrs. Doubtfire for Robin Williams to do all the voices.
Our last stop before calling it a day was the 12th Man room. It was pretty fun.

I don't have any pictures of our visiting quarterback experience. You go into a booth and are supposed to call a play and your teammate on the other side of the booth has to hear your call and click on the correct play. The girls couldn't scream loud enough, I did, but started violently coughing afterwards. Isaac did the best. It's loud.
And with that, we walked back home in the rain. The plan was to order pizza to our hotel room and watch the first pre-season game. After trying a bunch of pizza places and learning that the wait was 1-2 hours!! Isaac and Jess walked to McDonalds and then after 8, we had pancakes downstairs. It was a special treat for August. Pancakes before bed. They weren't great, but it was kind of fun to be in the big empty breakfast room all by ourselves and watch the last 1/2 of the game on their big screen.
On our way up to the special Star Wars exhibit. They had 60 original costumes on display. Plus videos of planning and dressing and lots more behind the scenes greatness. There are some signs to give extra background. This is more for us, there are less pictures of the kids, but if you are excited for a certain upcoming movie, dig in.
We saw Anthony Daniels once in Las Vegas when we went to a Star Wards concert that he hosted.
Carrie Fisher's quote: "It was the bikini from hell." Seems right.
Harrison Ford changed his original costume--it was supposed to have a big peter pan collar and he said, nope.

We walked through the "horror" room, but it didn't really connect. I mean I had heard of the Blair Witch Project. The only fun one was the zombie costume from Thriller.
Central area, near the huge "Sky Church" music room. There was also a place with lots of sound booths where you can record yourself, but it was too busy to bother with. There was a Nirvana display that we didn't go into. There was a gaming history (focusing mostly on Nintendo I think) that we popped into, but was also busy due to all the interactive possibilities.

Time for a lunch break. We had checked the weather report for the day and had umbrellas in my back pack, good thing. It was dumping! We walked 2 blocks away to the Greek place the was closed the night before. It was delicious.
