Parasailing

We didn't have friend parties this year for birthdays.  We did let the birthday kids pick an activity/adventure.  Isaac wanted more kart racing.  Makenna wanted to try parasailing.  We didn't know for sure if they would be allowed--do you have to weigh a certain amount?  But the company happily took our money, gave us life jackets, and sent us out on the boat.

Before getting on the boat.

They put you in the little boat to ferry you out to the bigger one.

It turned out that they have a special harness that allowed the kids to ride together. We put the head cam on Jessica because she was in the middle.  When we watched it later, we learned that she hollered and yelled the whole time! It wasn't a very peaceful experience for the other two.  We couldn't hear a thing--they were too far up, plus the boat is noisy.

Isaac getting clipped into his harness.

Here they are starting to go out and up.

Still looking good.  We did notice that Makenna's position changed.  She fidgeted and managed to move around the harness enough that she was no longer sitting on it, but rather hanging, which is not comfortable.  You can see her more straight, than sitting in the picture below.

She still liked it and wants to try again when Brian and Hilary come.  She will be more vocal about her sitting position next time.  Here come a few shots of everyone on the boat.

We couldn't have asked for more perfect weather.  It was a beautiful warm day with clear skies and just a light breeze.  We decided to stay at the beach and play longer before getting back for Isaac's kickboxing class.
