Where the Halloween Candy Went

Another advent Christmas activity was making a family gingerbread house. We got a kit for starters, (maybe someday we will try it from scratch) then added all the hard candy and smarties still left in the Halloween bowl.

Isaac liked being in charge of the icing while the girls put on Christmas lights.

Makenna helped add "snow" all over the base so the gingerbread people could have a white Christmas. Notice her fingers.

Jessica is pointing to her beautiful side, not giving it a "thumbs down".

We had a slight accident with the roof. It got so covered in candy by the end, each side started slipping down from the added weight. We had to do some quick caulking and clamping to firm it up before real disaster struck. 'Twas a tasty activity.
