We had a wonderful Christmas morning. We had Matt home with us, fully awake, which made a happy festive day right there. (During the 3 1/2 years in Germany he was always on a night work schedule which made for sleepy present opening.) The kids all had happy surprises, but I was so pleased that they were truly most excited about giving each other their planned gifts. Here are a few shots.
Isaac had gotten Jess clothes for George. He even found some little green Croc shoes. She was thrilled and George now changes clothes almost as much as she in the days since. 
Makenna was a snuggle bug and loved sitting with dad and bringing him things to open. 
This is the girls' gift to Isaac. He also got a new bike with brakes that BOTH work for the upcoming spring triathlon.

Isaac loves the nerf guns and has gotten the girls to each take several turns playing with him. 
Makenna took this of me today--first chance to relax on the new couch.
The George lunchbox was Makenna's gift to Jess. Inside were the George PJs. Jess gave Makenna some makeup which they both put on tastefully for church today. Their eyelids were dusted with sparkly purple. 
Makenna took this one too. These are two of the three gifts forgotten by me until dinnertime Christmas day. Matt had gotten a leatherman-like tool for Isaac months ago and I found these stuffed animals from the Give a Mouse a Cookie book series before Halloween. So we brought them out at bedtime. Isaac is Mr Fix It now, carrying his tool around on his waistband. The girls have been reading all the "If You Give a" books to their new friends christened Cupcake and Piggy.
And this last is another picture taken by Makenna of the latest fort which I promised to share. She is tops among the world's fort creators and wants to start documenting her work. This model has two rooms and is carpeted with blankets.
