The kids all got chef hats and aprons for Christmas. They all love to cook, especially cookies. There are many things they can make all on their own. We have recently discovered a show called Iron Chef (which has been on for years, I know, but it's still new to us). Cooking has taken on new dimensions since then.
They pay much more attention to plating. Often lunches get sprinkled with some chopped up carrots or season salt around the edge of the plate. The funniest thing to me though, is Makenna has taken to hanging around the kitchen while I am cooking dinner and she runs commentary. "She's bringing out some tomatoes. They will add a nice touch of color to the dish."
