SNOW!?

Two days after we celebrated Jess turning 7, we had serious snow flurries in Vegas.  The kids simple couldn't THINK about doing school.  They were glued to the window all morning.  Jess had plans to build a whole snowman family after lunch.  Our backyard never looked so beautiful, all covered in white.  But around 10:30 it stopped and within 30 minutes had all melted away.  Sad.

Matt lifted everyone's spirits though when he surprised us with crab legs.  We tried them for the first time a few weeks before at Joe's Crab Shack. Yummy. Costco had their Seafood Show in town and he brought home a measely 4 Alaskan King Crab legs.  He didn't think 4 would be enough, so he bought 2 lobster tails to go with them.  We looked up recipes for the lobster.  The crab was really a matter of reheating.  Everything was SO GOOD, but SO MUCH.  4 king crabs legs are a lot more than snow crab.  Wow.  We all rolled to bed that night with the bread and salad almost untouched.  Note to our future selves, just buy 2 king crab legs and have a good salad and rolls to go with them.  It will be plenty!
