Jess is studying habitats for science. This week was Polar Habitats. One hand goes in a a plain baggie and into the ice water. The other goes into a baggie surrounded with a thick layer of shortening. The bare hand (right) didn't last long and came out red and cold. The left hand was happy to hang out all day. "Wow. This stuff really works!"
