Buzz Lightyear was the first ride we went on. The shooting element was a big hit. We returned several times, but only Isaac broke 100,000, though grandma was achingly close.

Feet tired already? The boat rides were always a nice break. We had beautiful sunny weather all 3 days.
We marveled many times how prevalent cell phones were in lines. Entertain me!
The kids had to do this on their own. None of the grown-ups could handle the spin.
Makenna, Isaac and I went on train roller coaster 5 times in a row while Jess took g'ma and g'pa to Small World.

We probably could have spent a whole day on Tom Sawyer's island. They loved climbing and around, exploring caves and tunnels and running over wobbly bridges. Isaac was a little impatient to get to THE roller coaster, though.
We saw tons of these. The girls were on the look out and saved a few with sticks who had wandered onto the path. Isaac gave them a wide berth, having a former encounter a year ago.

Makenna's first time was at night. (She's next to me with a hood one. Isaac has his hands up.) Afterwards, she thought once was enough, but that would change the next day.
Grandma had a birthday Wednesday. She got a birthday button to wear all day and has never been told "happy birthday" so many times in one day! We are so glad she was willing to spend her day with us.
Day 2 clothes. :-)
On day two, we started in the other park and went straight to the river raft. This became the most popular ride. I think we hit 10 times. Makenna got to be the line tester twice. She just has that look I guess. We all got thoroughly soaked and adopted a dry out spot to squeeze out clothes and have snacks in the sun.
Almost there! Jess always hoped to get wet, and often got her wish.
I, and whoever say next to me, earned the reputation of water magnet.
Waiting for the Colors and Lights show to start. Didn't quite know what to expect, but it did "Wow."

We are on the right side of the boat and avoided most of the one geyser that hit us. The kids always hoped for it.

After Makenna wanted to go again, and then again, Jess decided to try. She got through it okay and can talk bravely now, but didn't want a repeat on that trip. She thinks she will like it better when she is a mom. Isaac and Makenna never tired of it.

The morning before we drove off to meet back up with Matt Jess spent an hour tying ribbons to these little dollies and George and launching them off her bunk bed and then jumping down onto my bed to fetch them. We let her play while watching the Tsunami news unfold on the TV.

Not pictured but worth a mention are the Aladin and Bug's Life shows. They were talked over lots.
Phew. What a packed 3 days. We left happy and foot sore. We drove home on Isaac's birthday. The big 12! He stayed with us till Barstow where we met up with Matt and left the girl truck to join the manly car.
