We have a Deacon

It is a little hard to believe 12 years have flown by since this guy entered our lives.  He has been a source of joy, pride and endless learning.  We were certainly blessed to have a child with such a bright mind and kind heart to enrich our lives and be an example and friend to his sisters and others.

I have watched him make mental, emotional, and spiritual leaps and bounds over the last year, becoming more independent and responsible.  While it is thrilling to glimpse the (dare I say it?) man he is becoming, we wonder if 6 years is enough to provide him with all he will need for life.  Seeing all he can do, maybe I should worry less and just enjoy the ride.

He isn't used to seeing himself without his glasses, but may be trying contacts soon.

Interesting side note.  After Matt told the story about Grandpa Don calling people out of the audience to recite the Standard of Truth when he was bishop, Isaac memorized it to have ready for his interview with Bishop Reese along with the Articles of Faith. Bishop was a little blown away.  In Priesthood, Isaac recited the Duties of a Deacon with conviction and was very obviously ready to take the important step.

He was ordained by his father with both grandfathers and Uncle Brian.
