Matt's Hotel

We drove with Matt to Palmdale after church Sunday.  The kids thought his hotel was "da bomb".  It was very nice.  He had been at a Holiday Inn, but then found out this place was the same price for 3x as much space and a little kitchen.  The girls claimed the fold out couch--possibly the coolest invention ever.  Isaac made a cozy spot on the side.

But before bed Matt took them down to watch 1/2 of a Harry Potter movie in the theater room.  They weren't quite as impressed as we thought they would be.  Drive too long?  Their highlight was breakfast.  The kids ate two kinds of eggs, bacon, sausage, three kinds of cereal, some yogurt, a few "make your own waffles", lots of juice, a couple muffins and toast.  Wish we had that option for the rest of the week.

Poor Matt is missing this room a bit.  He moved out last weekend to move into a shared house--going off expenses and onto per diem.  It's better financially, but he is not enjoying doing the shared bathroom with random roommates again.  That was supposed to have been left behind at BYU.  The commuting over weekends thing is getting old.  It will be nice to have a plan, a known end date.
